In today’s architecture and design community, sustainability is often a goal. For us, it’s the starting point. Our commitment to sustainability is embedded in every aspect of what we do, from sourcing materials and selecting binders to final production and recyclability. When we say fully circular production, we mean it not as a marketing phrase, but as a verified system built around circularity, transparency, and environmental integrity.

Designing from Waste, Not for It

Our product philosophy begins with rethinking the role of waste. Instead of mining new resources, we reclaim existing ones: stone fragments, recycled marble, industrial glass, and post-industrial byproducts. These materials are not simply “used”, they are re-engineered into high-performance, low-impact surfaces designed for longevity and elegance.

Take our Eco-Terr® Collection: composed of over 75% pre-consumer recycled content and produced with zero VOCs or PFAS, these terrazzo slabs are not only recyclable at end-of-life, they often start with a carbon-negative footprint. Each slab becomes a case study in responsible manufacturing.

Resin-Free, Toxin-Free, Impact-Aware

Many materials on the market rely on petrochemical resins and binding agents. Not ours. We’ve eliminated resins, formaldehyde, and other toxins from our production processes, prioritizing health for people and the planet. All surfaces are:

• Resin-Free

• VOC-Free and PFAS-Free

• Made from Recycled Content

• Fully Recyclable at End-of-Life

• LEED-Contributing

This level of performance is not incidental, it’s engineered.

Built for Longevity, Designed for Circularity

Sustainability isn’t a finish; it’s a foundation. Our materials are designed to perform over decades, not just project cycles. Terrazzo, in particular, is a surface that can last a lifetime or longer. Unlike many finishes that wear down and require replacement, terrazzo can be resurfaced multiple times, restoring its original beauty without additional material waste. This capacity for renewal makes terrazzo one of the most circular and low-impact materials in architectural history. Combined with recycled content and recyclability at end-of-life, our terrazzo collections like Eco‑Terr® offer unmatched environmental performance and timeless visual appeal. Durable, restorable, and responsibly made, this is what sustainable design looks like in practice.

The Future Is Circular and It’s Already Here

Fully circular production isn’t a future objective. It’s a present responsibility and an operational reality at COVERINGS ETC. For over two decades, we’ve pursued a mission to lead with design and environmental accountability. In an industry shifting toward transparency, traceability, and circular innovation, we stand ready not just to keep pace, but to lead. If you’re designing for the next generation of hospitality, workplace, or civic spaces, we invite you to start with surfaces made to last and made responsibly from the beginning.

Timeless design. Material integrity. Fully circular production.
